Athumi, formerly the Flemish Data Utility Company (since 2023), is Europe's first entity with a legal mandate to process personal and sensitive corporate data securely and transparently. Their mission is to foster trust in data sharing while boosting the Flemish economy by making data more accessible and facilitating collaboration between citizens, businesses, and associations. Athumi is registered as data intermediary. Athumi focuses on Personal & Smart Data Spaces and Data Collaboration Platforms, enabling innovative B2C services and value creation. Acting as a neutral third party, they facilitate data ecosystems, ensuring infrastructure, legal frameworks, interoperability, and governance. As a pioneer in Flanders/Belgium/Europe, Athumi drives responsible data management and innovation.
