Mission & Goals
The Finnovaregio Foundation is a European entity that promotes international and interregional cooperation through networks and events, with the aim of seeking funding related to technology transfer, modernization, research, and innovation for public and private entities at both regional and local levels. In this context, the Foundation is responsible for fostering dialogue, strategic information systems, training activities, the dissemination of results at both global and local levels, and the exchange of information and communication among a wide range of stakeholders, including international financial institutions, technological institutes, universities, private sector companies, and public administrations. All these actions are carried out with the objective of raising awareness of the different European Union funding opportunities in areas such as the environment, water, health, public works, energy efficiency, sustainable tourism, ICT, and entrepreneurship.

Communication Activities
Our organization has organized and continues to organize a series of events to emphasize the importance and urgency of implementing key European Union policies, such as the European Green Deal, the European Climate Law, the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, and the NextGenerationEU programme, as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and Europe’s ecological transition. These events aim to inform, educate, and mobilize stakeholders and the general public about the need to take concrete actions to achieve the objectives set out in these fundamental legislative frameworks and strategies. Our efforts include: Organization of Workshops and Seminars: We have organized a wide range of workshops and seminars bringing together experts, policymakers, and civil society representatives to discuss the implications of these policies and how they can be effectively implemented. These forums highlight the importance of collaboration and explore potential initiatives that support the objectives of the European Green Deal and the EU Biodiversity Strategy. Awareness-Raising Campaigns: We have launched awareness-raising campaigns using a variety of channels, including digital media and social networks, to highlight the benefits of the European Climate Law and the urgency of taking action to preserve biodiversity. The objective of these campaigns is to influence public opinion and foster support for strong environmental policies. Participation in Public and Private Forums: Representatives of our organization actively participate in forums and debates at EU, national, and local levels, advocating for the adoption and effective implementation of measures that support NextGenerationEU and its related initiatives. Publications and Position Papers: We regularly produce and disseminate publications and position papers that examine progress and challenges in the implementation of the European Green Deal and other related policies. These documents serve as valuable sources of information for stakeholders and decision-makers, highlighting our recommendations for specific actions. NextGenerationEU Information Platform: Our website (https://finnova.eu/nextgeneration/) includes a dedicated section aimed at promoting understanding of and engagement with the NextGenerationEU programme. This platform serves as a key resource to inform organizations and the public about how they can contribute to and benefit from the funding and development opportunities offered by this programme. Our overall objective is to actively contribute to the promotion of a greener, more resilient, and more sustainable Europe, in line with the European Union’s core climate and environmental goals.
