Mission & Goals
FIFUR is the parent association of the Finnish fur branch and advocacy and educational organization that represents its regional member associations and entrepreneurs and guards social and political interests and business cooperation in Finland. FIFUR's regional associations have 335 member companies (12/2025) operating certified fur farms in Finland. Dedicated fur animal breeding has been practiced in Finland for more than a hundred years and the association was founded in 1928. FIFUR is guided by the objective that Finland is the most responsible and profitable country for breeding fur animals. FIFUR aims to secure social license to operate, continuous development and competitiveness for fur industry by supporting the well-being of producers, animals and the environment. FIFUR is also a member of Fur Europe and European Fur Breeders' Association which also represents fur branch in the EU level.
