Mission & Goals
Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence FCAI is a nation-wide community of experts in artificial intelligence in Finland, initiated by Aalto University, University of Helsinki, and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. FCAI brings together top talents in academia, industry and public sector to solve real-life problems using both existing and novel AI. Our goal is to create a new type of AI, which is able to operate with humans in the complex world, and to renew the Finnish industry with this new AI. In 2019 FCAI gained the Academy of Finland flagship status, a standing granted only to selected centers of excellence of high quality research and proven societal impact.
