Mission & Goals
Fingrid Oyj is Finland’s transmission system operator: its owners are the State of Finland, the National Emergency Supply Agency, and various Finnish financial and insurance institutions. Our mission is to ensure a reliable electricity supply in all situations and to promote a clean, market-based electricity system.
EU Legislative Interests
EU energy policy including: - EU Grids Package including issues related TEN-E regulation and CEF (Connecting Europe Facility), - Participation in the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan work and working groups, - SF6 Gas legislation, - Anticipatory investments policies, - Capacity mechanisms, - New and revision of existing network codes and tariffs, - Permitting reforms.
