Mission & Goals

The Federation of Maltese Aquaculture Producers (FMAP) serves as the official representative body for Malta’s aquaculture sector. Its primary functions and roles include: Representation and Advocacy: FMAP represents the interests of aquaculture producers in Malta at national, European, and international levels. It engages with government authorities, EU institutions, and regulatory bodies to promote policies that support the sustainable development of the sector. Sector Coordination: The Federation acts as a unifying platform for aquaculture operators in Malta, fostering collaboration and dialogue among stakeholders to address common challenges and opportunities in the industry. Regulatory and Policy Support: FMAP provides guidance to its members on regulatory compliance, licensing, environmental monitoring, and food safety standards.
