Mission & Goals
The Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) is an international non-profit association which serves as the main organisation for neuroscience in Europe. Founded in 1998, it currently represents 44 national and single-discipline neuroscience societies across 33 European countries and more than 22,000 member scientists. FENS aims to support and promote neuroscience research in Europe and around the world through scientific exchange, education and training, outreach, engagement and advocacy. All FENS activities and events are based on values of respect, credibility, inclusivity and sustainability and strive to ensure safe and harassment-free activities for all, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, appearance, ethnicity, race, national origin, pregnancy, medical condition, genetic information, ancestry, marital status, citizenship, age or religion.
