Mission & Goals
ProTECT is a Romanian federation (coalition) of specialised anti-trafficking organizations that facilitates effective collaboration in prevention, protection, victim support, legal proceedings, lobbying, and advocacy to enhance the fight against human trafficking and modern slavery.

-Directive 2011/36/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 April 2011 on preventing and combating trafficking in human beings and protecting its victims -Directive 2012/29/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2012 establishing minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime -Council Directive 2004/81/EC of 29 April 2004 on the residence permit issued to third-country nationals who are victims of trafficking in human beings or who have been the subject of an action to facilitate illegal immigration, who cooperate with the competent authorities -Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 July 2002 concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (Directive on privacy and electronic communications) -EU Strategy on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings 2021-2025
