Mission & Goals
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL) | Lisbon School of Medicine is a higher education and research institution dedicated to education, training, and research in medicine and other health sciences. Integrated within an Academic Clinical Centre, FMUL promotes innovation, excellence in medical education, scientific research, and high-quality healthcare, in close collaboration with clinical and academic partners. Its mission is to contribute to the improvement of population health through the education of competent and socially responsible health professionals, the advancement of medical knowledge, and the promotion of ethical, transparent, and evidence-based practices at national and international levels.
