Mission & Goals

Fabrique A ASBL is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation founded in 2018. Its primary goal is to foster inclusive, creative, and socially engaged participation, particularly among young people from migrant backgrounds and underrepresented communities. Fabrique A operates across three main areas: Media: We provide a free and independent platform where young people can express their views through interviews, documentaries, podcasts, and short films. The aim is to encourage critical thinking and civic engagement through storytelling and dialogue. Music & Cultural Events: We organise thematic concerts and music-based workshops that bring together musicians and artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, promoting co-creation, collaboration, and cultural dialogue. Social Empowerment: We engage in grassroots initiatives that support gender equality, youth development, and intercultural communication, often in collaboration with local institutions and European partners. EU Legislative Interests

Fabrique A ASBL’s work is closely aligned with and contributes to the objectives of several key EU legislative proposals and policy frameworks, particularly in the areas of social inclusion, digital media, gender equality, and youth engagement. We particularly target the following EU policies: EU Gender Equality Strategy (2020–2025): Through our women-focused projects and events — including mentorship programs, interviews with female role models, and the upcoming Women Ambassadors event at the European Parliament — we promote gender balance and the empowerment of women in public and cultural life. EU Action Plan against Racism (2020–2025): Our media productions and community events actively challenge stereotypes, highlight the stories of migrants and minorities, and promote intercultural dialogue. European Pillar of Social Rights – Principles 1, 3, 11 & 17: Our grassroots activities are in line with EU efforts to ensure equal opportunities, active support to employment, child and youth inclusion, and access to culture. Digital Services Act (DSA) and European Democracy Action Plan: Fabrique A supports media literacy and safe digital participation through workshops and youth training sessions — helping participants understand and engage with online content responsibly. New European Agenda for Culture: By encouraging cultural co-creation and accessible artistic expression, our work supports EU efforts to strengthen the social dimension of culture across Member States.

Communication Activities

Fabrique A ASBL has developed and participated in a variety of communication activities aligned with key EU policy priorities, especially in the areas of social inclusion, cultural diversity, youth participation, media freedom, and gender equality. Examples of our communication activities include: Thematic Events and Concerts: We regularly organise public cultural events and concerts in Brussels and other Belgian cities, with the aim of promoting cohesion, dialogue, and inclusion. These events often address themes such as women’s empowerment, migration stories, and European identity, resonating with EU values. Media Production Projects: We have produced numerous interviews, short documentaries, and video podcasts that amplify the voices of underrepresented communities, particularly young people and women from migrant backgrounds. These productions are shared on social media platforms and during public screenings, fostering awareness and engagement with topics relevant to EU integration and equality policies. Educational Campaigns and Local Workshops: We organise media literacy workshops and discussion panels in collaboration with libraries, cultural centres, and schools – helping young people critically engage with media and EU-related topics such as democracy, civic rights, and digital participation. Participation in European Parliament-linked Projects: Fabrique A has collaborated with Members of the European Parliament and other institutional partners to hold events, such as the upcoming Women Ambassadors Event (May 2025), which will bring together women entrepreneurs and role models from across Europe.
