Mission & Goals
Exide Technologies is a global provider of stored electrical-energy solutions for automotive and industrial application. Exide operates 11 manufacturing facilities in 6 European countries and employs around 5,000 employees across the region. We manufacture batteries for light and commercial vehicles, as well as for agricultural and marine leisure applications. Industrial markets include efficient energy storage solutions for motive power applications such as lift trucks, cleaning machines and other commercial electrical vehicles, and for network power applications such as telecommunications systems, renewables, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Exide’s portfolio covers standard and advanced lead-based batteries as well as Lithium-Ion battery technology. Two R&D facilities in Europe enable the company to drive innovation. With three state-of-the art recycling plants, Exide is committed to environmental sustainability.
