Mission & Goals
EuroUSC Italia is active in the field of non-military RPAS (or “drones”) offering training for remote pilots and related instructors, legal and safety risk assessment and mitigation, support to manufacturers and operators to prepare manuals and to comply with regulations. In particular it has a world leading role for higher education courses on the international civil regulation of drones and civil aviation regulation in general.

Safety of civil aviation including EASA RMT.0230 and Opinion 01/2020; EASA NPA 2022-06: Introduction of a regulatory framework for the operation of drones — Enabling innovative air mobility with manned VTOL-capable aircraft, the IAW of UAS subject to certification, and the CAW of those UAS operated in the 'specific' category EASA NPA 2021-14: Development of acceptable means of compliance and guidance material to support the U-space regulation
Communication Activities
AW-Drones is an H2020 project aiming at supporting the European Commission and EASA in the identification of industrial standards to be used as Acceptable Means of Compliance to the requirements of EU Regulation 2019/947. In particular the project is developing a "metastandard" linking regulatory requirements and technical standard that are published or being produced worldwide.
