Mission & Goals
Eurostar International Ltd is the high-speed train operator linking mainly London St Pancras International to Paris and to Lille/Brussels/Rotterdam/Amsterdam. It also runs occasional seasonal services to other French destinations. Together with THI Factory, it forms the Eurostar Group, which operates under a single brand, Eurostar.
EU Legislative Interests
Eurostar is directly interested in EU transport and rail policy developments, especially relating to international passenger rail. This includes: - Ticketing and distribution - ongoing or pending legislative initiatives on multi-modal distribution, single ticket booking and (multi-modal) passenger rights - Legislative initiative on rail infrastructure capacity allocation - Upcoming revision of the train drivers certification directive - Guidelines on track access charges - Rail security, PNR/API data transfers - ERTMS Eurostar is closely involved in the preparation for new border requirements linked to the Entry/Exit System (EES) and the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS). Finally, Eurostar monitors developments of the UK-EU relationship, in particular the Channel Tunnel's regulatory framework and mobility/migration aspects of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
