Communication Activities

EUROPEUM yearly realizes over 25 projects (many of international), 100+ events, including seminars, public debates, workshops, expert roundtables, and events for students, and publishes over 40 papers. In 2024, we implemented 27 projects covering a wide range of topics: from just green transition and circular economy, through security and defense, to supporting civil society in Europe. Our events attracted hundreds of experts, students, journalists, politicians, and participants from the general public, not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. We organized over 120 different events, both independently and in partnership with stakeholders, including 10 international conferences, 20 round tables, and 12 workshops. We continued with the popular Café Evropa debate series and the EuropaSecura educational project for high school students, which has now been running for 17 years. Furthermore, we produced 21 podcast episodes and expanded our activities to other regions and new international platforms and networks. Our team achieved a record 477 media appearances, significantly contributing to the promotion of high-quality and fact-based debate on European issues in both Czech and international media. Last but not least, we published 26 publications and over 40 reports, recommendations, and blogs, and we used these outputs in our advocacy efforts and activities aimed at engaging citizens. In 2024, we further strengthened the activities of our Brussels office by organizing a series of expert debates, consultations, and public discussions at the heart of the European institutions. This allowed us to more actively connect Czech and European discourse and bring Central European perspectives into key debates about the future of the EU. The year 2024 also saw a deepening of our international partnerships. We collaborated with a number of leading European think tanks, academic institutions, and civic initiatives. Our active involvement in international networks, management of long-term complex projects with partners from different corners of Europe and collaborations with partners outside the EU have all strengthened EUROPEUM's position - not only among respected actors in the Czech Republic, but also on the European stage. We believe that cooperation and open dialogue, based on facts and the sharing of experiences, is the way to face current crises and strengthen a democratic and sustainable future for Europe.
