Communication Activities

ESPI's purpose includes a key mandate to promote European space policy globally. The primary component of ESPI work relates to research activities, which are complemented by organisation, co-organisation and active contribution to professional events in Europe and globally. In its host city of Vienna ESPI regularly organises its annual Autumn Conference, an independent forum and networking platform with 300+ participants. Throughout the year, ESPI regularly organises numerous professional workshops, symposia and side events to UN COPUOS, in line with ESPI's mandate. ESPI is also active in digital communication channels, communicating and presenting outcomes of its policy research to strengthen Europe's decision-making on space. In 2024, ESPI has increased its presence in Brussels to reinforce ESPI’s mission to provide an active forum for the analysis and discussion of European needs, capabilities and long-term prospects in space activities, and to elaborate proposals and recommendations to European decision-makers and institutions.
