EU Legislative Interests

1) An EU health workforce crisis plan: sustainability of healthcare systems and employment and working 2)Union Civil Protection Mechanism and Union support for health emergency preparedness and response 3)Preparing the EU for the next health crisis : a Medical Countermeasures Strategy 4) European action plan on the cybersecurity of hospitals and healthcare providers 5)Framework for achieving climate neutrality 6)European Competitiveness Fund

Communication Activities

We intend to organise a conference discussing healthcare workforce shortages in Emergency medicine. Following a publication of an internal report, we understand that if we do not address the shortage of Emergency medicine workforce now, it will be detrimental to the healthcare system. We already understand that primary care is operating inefficiently putting pressure on Emergency departments as patients are referred to Emergency departments with non emergency issues. Through our national societies we know that is an issue across Europe. We would like to organise a conference with our 38 National societies to discuss this report and provide recommendations for the EU health workforce crisis plan.
