Mission & Goals
European Shipowners | ECSA is the voice of the European shipping industry. Founded in 1965 as “Comité des Associations d’Armateurs des Communautés Européennes (CAACE)”, European Shipowners | ECSA promotes the interests of 22 member associations of the EU and Norway, and strives for a regulatory environment that fosters the international competitiveness of European shipping.

Competitiveness of European shipowners, state aid, climate and environmental legislation (EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, STIP), maritime industrial strategy, clean fuels, social affairs and seafarers, open trade and market access (EU trade policy, FTA negotiations), safety, security (including piracy, cybersecurity etc), taxation, ship finance and EU taxonomy.
