Mission & Goals

EPIF is the association representing the non-bank payment sector in the EU. It is the trade association representing this industry sector at the European level on the payment and technology files. EPIF as the European Payments Institutions Federation is active at the European level.

EU Legislative Interests

EPIF is focused on the proposals in the payments and technology space as well as anti money laundering and the new anti money laundering authority, cyber security, Artificial Intelligence, tax, digital, fraud prevention, data issues, trade in services and consumer issues. This includes inter alia the revision to the Payment Services Directive, Framework for financial data access and Digital Single Market.

Communication Activities

EPIF is active in responding to consultations which have a direct impact on our members and where appropriate we also share position papers and relevant briefings primarily on payment related issues.
