EU Legislative Interests

The EPRM is set up as an accompanying measure to the following EU legislation: EU regulation: 2017/821 Conflict Minerals as mandated by the joint communication to teh EP and the Council on responsible sourcing of minerals of 5 March 2014 JOIN(2014)8Final https://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/in-focus/conflict-minerals-regulation/legal-texts-and-documents/ Main purpose of influencing is to ensure thatt EU legislation and policies give necesary attention to Artisanal and Small-scale mining due diligence as per the aforementionned joined communication also having regard to the impact of EU legislation in minerlas producing development countries.

Communication Activities
