Mission & Goals
EOTA is the European Organisation for Technical Assessment in the area of construction products. It is based in Brussels (Belgium). EOTA develops and adopts European Assessment Documents (EADs) by using the scientific and technological expertise of its members. EOTA co-ordinates the application of the procedures set out for a request for a European Technical Assessment (ETA) and for the procedure adopting a European Assessment Document (EAD). EOTA ensures that examples of best practices are shared between its members to promote greater efficiency and provide a better service to the industry. EOTA also works in close cooperation with the European Commission, the Member States, the European Standardisation Organisations, and other stakeholders in research and construction. EOTA keeps adopted EADs and references to ETAs publicly available on its website. Contribution from members: 500000€ In the EOTA secretariat, there are 4 full-time employees involved in the daily business of the organisation according to CPR art 31.4. The activities linked to the register (e.g. representation costs) are minor ones. This is the reason, the estimation of the costs is below 10.000€.
