Mission & Goals
REVES is the unique european organisation based on partnership between local and regional authorities and territorial social economy organisations. Under "social economy" Reves considers cooperatives, mutual societies, associations, foundations and, more in general, all those organisations asserting the "primacy of individual and of social objective over capital, the voluntary and open membership, the democratic control by membership, the combination of interests of members/users and the general interest, the defence and application of the principle of solidarity and responsibility, the autonomous management and the sustainable use of most of surpluses". Reves members are those local authorities or social economy organisation that are presently developing or are willing to develop policies to promote social and solidarity based economy, for a most fair, inclusive, participative and responsible society; a network of social innovation in terms both of methods and procedure (...)
EU Legislative Interests
REVES is following EU initiatives in the following areas: - cohesion policy - social policy and social protection - enterprise policy - competition policy - market policy - culture - public health and consumer protection - youth and any other kind of initiative relevant for partnership between public authorities and the social economy
Communication Activities
At present REVES is actively following projects in the following fields: - future of cohesion policy - financial and economic development of SE - social economy and its partnership with local/regional authorities in the digitalisation era - training for (future) SE entrepreneurs - transfer of enterprises to worker cooperatives REVES organises, on a biannual basis, the REVES EXCELLENCE AWARD for best examples of partnerhips between public authorities and social economy.

Additional Information
In 2024 the Organisation participated in different operations financed by the European Commission through action grants, aiming at furthering EU policy objectives. In particular, these operation where financed under the following programmes: - SMP-COSME-SEM, SMP-COSME-RESILIENCE, CERV-LITI, Interreg Europe and ERASMUS +.
