Mission & Goals

ENTE e.V., the European Network for Traveller Education, is a registered non-profit organisation, which works on a volunteer basis close to the educational needs of children whose parents travel as showmen, circus-artists, bargees or market traders. The travelling life of those families implies that access to education and vocational training is in many European countries made difficult. Examples can be found in this study The situation of circus in the EU member states. EU Legislative Interests

Digital Education Action Plan (2025 - 2030) The Digital Education Action Plan seeks to support the use of technology in education and the development of digital competences. Council Recommendation on blended learning for high quality and inclusive primary edcuation

Communication Activities

ENTE has written a paper on school education for children of occupational travellers for the congress at the Budapest Circus Festival 2025 and 2030. ENTE is advisor for national European associations and they update these on their meetings. Members of ENTE took part in various projects. For example: EVIS - Bildung für Kinder; INVIT - Informal Vocational Training of Travellers. ENTE was asked to participate in the consultation on blended learing in 2021 (organized by the European Commission) ENTE was asked by the platform School Education Gateway to participate with a webinar and a video on Traveller Education.
