Mission & Goals

The European Net Zero Alliance (ENZA) is a coalition of 26 European associations, representing a myriad of economic sectors - from industry to buildings, mobility, and agriculture - and different energy vectors - namely liquid and gaseous fuels, heat, and power. The alliance was born from a desire to bridge the gap between various energy vectors and energy-consuming sectors of the economy with the common goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. As this objective can only be achieved through a variety of technologies, solutions should be associated and coordinated in such a way that they deliver the objectives of the Integrated Energy System Strategy and the European Green Deal. The increasing digitalization of the energy system and end-user processes will help strengthen and streamline these interactions. ENZA is not an entity but a policy initiative created and managed by its members.

Additional Information

European Net Zero Alliance ,ENZA, is a policy initiative rather than an entity. As stated on the website is was created for allowing teamwork between like-minded organizations from across all sectors and energy vectors, covering the whole value chain to deliver the energy transition through a common approach. ENZA is not a registered entity per se, but an initiative between organisations who joined the coalition. It does not have a budget or a financial structure, as it’s not a fiscal or taxable entity. Cost are limited to audiovisual (for the EUSEW event) and covered by members who participated. ENZA does not have any office. ENZA members work within their own organisations (who are ENZA members) from their own offices and dedicate some time to ENZA activities on an ad hoc level when needed.
