Mission & Goals
The European Marine Board provides a platform for our member organizations to develop common priorities, to advance marine research, and to bridge the gap between science and policy to meet future marine marine science challenges and opportunities. The European Marine Board is Europe's foremost think tank for marine science policy. Established in 1999, it is a partnership of major national marine science institutes, research funding agencies and national consortia of universities, facilitating enhanced cooperation between European organizations involved in marine science towards development of a common vision on the research priorities and strategies for marine science in Europe.
