Mission & Goals
The European Heart Network plays a leading role in the prevention and reduction of cardiovascular diseases, in particular heart disease and stroke, through advocacy, networking, capacity-building, representing patients' interests, and research so that they are no longer a major cause of premature death and disability throughout Europe.

EU governance; health policy; research policy; prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases; tobacco control; nutrition labelling; CAP; MFF; SDGs; trade; European Green Deal, Farm to Fork Strategy, climate change; Digital health; availability of medicinal products (i.e. access & shortages), EU4Health, Horizon Programme.
Communication Activities
EHN Annual workshop (internal meeting for all EHN Members) with speakers from the European Institutions, WHO, national ministries; European Alliance for Cardiovascular Health camaigns and events; partner in EU co-funded projects including AIDAVA, AI4HF, Hypermarker, COST Action AtheroNet; publishing papers on topics relevant to EU policy making, namely the EU4Health Programme and NCD initiatives.
