Mission & Goals

EFAMA is the representative association for the European fund and asset management industry. Its mission is to promote the role of its industry and its contribution to society. It provides an effective voice for the industry by providing evidence-based submissions and developing open and transparent relationships with key stakeholders. We advocate for a regulatory environment that supports our industry’s crucial role in steering capital towards investments for a sustainable future and providing long-term value for investors. Specifically our purpose is: - to promote optimal conditions for the European fund and asset management industry in its efforts to create value for investors; - to influence and support the ongoing development of the regulatory environment including the European Single Market; - to promote the interests of its Members among stakeholders; - to build confidence and trust in the industry; - to promote scientific research concerning the industry.

EFAMA’s budget is based on membership fees. EFAMA has 29 member associations, 47 corporate members and 28 associate members. EFAMA’s annual calculations of costs attributable to activities covered by the Register have been made following the EC Guidelines with regards to the activities covered within the scope of the Register and the calculation of estimated annual costs of the activities of the Register (staff costs, office and admin expenses, in-house operational expenditure, representation costs, etc)
