Mission & Goals
The European Football Agents Association (EFAA) aims to unite football agents worldwide, particularly across Europe, to collectively represent and safeguard the interests of football agents on an international level. EFAA seeks to position itself and its members as key stakeholders among other international football organisations. Additionally, it strives to support and promote the education and professionalisation of agents while fostering awareness and enhancing the positive visibility of the agency profession.
EU Legislative Interests
EFAA's most recent activities focus on the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU), specifically regarding Article 101 TFEU and its relation to the implementation of the FIFA Football Agent Regulations. These activities aim to explore alternative methods of regulation that align with the TFEU.
Communication Activities
January 2025 - EFAA met with European Commission Director General - Working Conditions & Social Dialogue online to discuss social dialogue and collective bargaining as a means of reaching regulation for agents. March 2025 - With Laffer Abogados and ESQUAD Abogados, EFAA co-hosts "Regulatory, Legal, and Structural Challenges in Football 2025" in Madrid. This event featured lawyers, agents, a representatives from various profrssional football clubs, FIFA, and FIFPRO. April 2025 – EFAA assists in the organisation and participates in the African Football Agents Conference 2025 in Rabat. This event featured lawyers, agents, a representatives from various profrssional football clubs and FIFA to discuss the advancement of African football. May 2025 - EFAA hosts webinar focused on the future of agent regulation approaching opinion of the Advocate General in the case concerning the FFAR referred to the Court of Justice of the European Union. May 2025 - EFAA hosts webinar focused on the Advocate General's Opinion released on May 15th, with particular attention to its potential implications and next step. November 2025 – EFAA hosts webinar “Termination of Representation Agreements by Players.” This webinar included over 200 registrations and participation of FIFA and legal professionals across Europe.
