Mission & Goals
The European Fire Prevention & Rural Preservation Organization (EFPRP) is a non-profit entity dedicated to the protection of European rural territories against environmental hazards, specifically forest fires. Our mission is to foster cross-border cooperation, advocate for sustainable rural management policies, and coordinate prevention strategies that integrate local community needs with European safety standards. We aim to serve as a bridge between rural stakeholders and European decision-makers to enhance the resilience of the Union’s natural heritage. To achieve these goals, the EFPRP established and currently coordinates the European Alliance Network for Ecosystem & Nature Protection (EANENP).
EU Legislative Interests
- EU Forest Strategy for 2030 (implementation and monitoring). - Union Civil Protection Mechanism (specifically the 2025 reform proposals regarding rescEU and cross-border crisis management). - Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) (rural development funds and eco-schemes). - EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) (regarding sustainable land use). - Horizon Europe (Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment).
