Mission & Goals
EFBA is an association of European Union member states involved in the production of compound fertilisers blended by using various nutrients in a number of regional factories. EFBA aims at : - Representing the common interests of fertiliser blenders at government level, such as the European Union in Brussels - Exchanging knowledge and information on fertilisers - Performing common actions to improve the quality of blended fertilisers and developp competitive and sustainable agriculture - Carrying out studies in order to optimise economical and technical handling

- European regulation on fertilising products - European regulation on Classification Labelling and - Packaging of substances and mixtures (raw materials, micronutrients including borates) - European regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) - Development of standards for fertilisers - European regulation on explosive precursors
Communication Activities
EFBA published a handbook on fertiliser blends available in three languages (english, french and german). EFBA has drawn up standards for desirable granule sizes for quality blends.

Additional Information
EFBA is an umbrella organisation representing the National Blender Organisations of 8 European Countries in the FertiliSer Industry. EFBA's operating income is provited through membership fees. EFBA does not have its own premises and is hosted by one of its members. Staff expenses are covered by EFBA members.
