EU Legislative Interests

EFEO is engaged in several legislative sectors, particularly : Registration of natural complex substances (NCS) under the EU REACH Regulation, fragrance allergene labelling under the EU Cosmetics Regulation, items arising from the EU Flavor Regulation, matters of classification and labelling under the CLP-Regulation, topics relating to pesticides and also CITES as well as the implementation of the CSDDD and CSR- and trade related issues in context with essential oils.

Communication Activities

EFEO has set up and accompanied several NCS registration consortia in order to faciliate the correct registration of substances under REACH, and keeps contacts with ECHA where EFEO is listed as an accredited stakeholder organisation. EFEO has contributed to a deeper understanding of Natural Complex Substances /Essential oils by providing Guidelines (in cooperation with IFRA) published on the ECHA website.

Member Of

EFEO is i.a. closely co-operating with other branch associations sharing the same fields of interest, i.a. IFRA ( International Fragrance Association) and EFFA (European Flavour Association) and IFEAT (International Federation of Essential Oil and Aroma Trades).
