Mission & Goals
EDC is a unitary trade union capable of defining and implementing EDC Dockers and Dockworkers’ trade union action at the EU geopolitical level. EDC promotes the unity of the working class, showing respect for cultural, ideological, religious differences or any other kind of judgement. EDC has the power to self-organize, to appoint representatives and bodies as sole representatives in defense of its interests. EDC shall preserve its full independence from administrative bodies, political parties or other public or private organizations. This independence and empowerment do not mean a lack of solidarity. EDC is aware of the globalization of the economy and will therefore work for the unity of the union’s action with all the world trade unions organizations that have the same principles than EDC to establish a common line in defense of the interests of Dockers and Dockworkers.
