Mission & Goals

ECA is a non-profit network organisation that promotes knowledge sharing, growth, preservation and valorisation of crafts. Working in collaboration with our member craft organisations from across the European continent, ECA implements a spectrum of events, projects and programmes which highlight our mission to elevate awareness of crafts as an integral part of society’s cultural, social and economic wellbeing. Furthermore, ECA advocates for crafts and craftspeople through partnerships in international cooperation programmes; while spreading information across a large network of member entities and engaging with policy at international, official, political and administrative levels. Recognising that crafts are everywhere, is key to our work: in education, economy, culture, heritage, sustainable development and beyond, crafts are visible and play a vital role in the human story.
