Mission & Goals
ECHO unites and empowers a network of leading European concert halls to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and drive innovation in the music sector, with a special focus on classical music. By supporting its members at all management levels through resources, professional development, joint projects, and advocacy, ECHO strengthens their ability to deliver exceptional live music experiences, champion cultural participation, and promote diversity, inclusion, and sustainability in the arts. ECHO advocates for the value of music in public life—supporting fair conditions for artists, access to culture, and music’s role in education and social cohesion. Through collective initiatives, talent development, and a strong European presence, ECHO contributes to shaping a resilient and forward-looking cultural landscape across the continent.
EU Legislative Interests
1. EU cultural policies: working conditions within the cultural sector, the Creative Europe programme, Cluster 2 of the Horizon Europe Programme, the new strategic framework for culture, artistic freedom, cultural diversity, etc. 2. Broader EU policies related to culture: the European Green Deal and Sustainable Development Goals, the AI Act, culture and education, health, employment, regional development, economic development and competitiveness, etc.
Communication Activities
