Mission & Goals
The members of CEMATEX are European national associations of textile machinery producers from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, United Kingdom and Switzerland. Those 9 European countries count more than 95% of all European textile machinery manufacturing companies. Those national associations of textile machinery producers have in total approx 850 manufacturing companies as members. CEMATEX is governed by a board of 9 directors, each representing a Cematex member national association. Cematex represents the interests of its members towards international and supranational authorities and institutions, in particular towards the EU Commission. In addition to European representation, CEMATEX is owner of the ITMA textile machinery exhibition brand. Communication Activities
-developed online tutorials ESPR, Forced Labour, Waste Framework Directive and Market Surveillance in cooperation with the European Commission -issued a position paper on market surveillance and communicated to the European Commission and MSA's in the EU27 member states - see www.cematex.com -engaged with the European Commission on TBT due the Indian OTR 24 (technical barrier to trade for weaving & embroidery machines) -organized webinars with representatives of the Commission and Parliament on the EU texiles strategy
