EU Legislative Interests

ECI is following all EU policies related to the Middle East, in particular policies related to the disputed territories. ECI also has a genuine interest in any initiatives and policies connected with the rise of antisemitism and xenophobia in Europe.

Communication Activities

Having celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2023 and preparing to mark our 25th anniversary in 2028 European Coalition for Israel has become a household name in the European Parliament as the only non-Jewish advocacy group involved in the combat against antisemitism and in fostering good relations between Europe and Israel. Since the terror attack on 7 October 2023 ECI has been active in advocating for the release of the Israeli hostages in Gaza and for a lasting, negotiated and peaceful solution to the conflict in the Middle East. In 2024 we launched a new program to involve young and emerging leaders in the combat against antisemitism, called ECI Young Leaders Academy, which brings together some twenty young leaders to Brussels two times a year to meet with EU policy makers and MEP’s to discuss topics related to our work. As for our regular activities in the European Parliament, this includes our televised monthly European Report from the studio of the European Parliament where we lead a conversation about EU-Israel relations and the challenges which are facing the Jewish community in Europe. The highlight of the year includes our Annual Conference which brings together close to 100 members from across Europe to meet and dialogue with EU policy makers on issues related to the combat against antisemitism and fostering good relations between Europe and Israel.
