Mission & Goals

The purpose of the Association is to represent the collective interests of the European chemical industry for textile and leather, principally in scientific, technological and regulatory matters, especially by: - making representations to the European Commission and other relevant authorities on all aspects of current and proposed legislation related to their products; - engaging in activities that are triggered by requests from stakeholders and actors along the textile and leather supply chain which are of common interest of the Members; - coordinating actions with other organizations considered relevant in the development of the above mentioned regulatory issues and sectorial activities; - promoting awareness of operators, authorities and general public on the functions and safe use of chemical products for textile and leather.

The Association has no staff expenses since the members of the Secretariat are employees of the two member National Associations (Federchimica and Tegewa) which cover their work cost.
