Mission & Goals
The European Boatmen’s Association E.B.A. was founded in Paris on 26 April 1977. Today EBA represents 16 national boatmen associations of the European Union. EBA represents the common interests and values of its members and promotes them at EU political level. In addition EBA is a unique knowledge network of European boatmen associations. The service of mooring is an essential part of the measures to ensure a safe transit and presence of the ships in ports. The EBA aims to foster safety values and the protection of the environment as well as securing the rapid availability of the mooring services in the interests of the users of the mooring services, the port community and of the entire local community.
