Mission & Goals
The European Biocidal Silver Task Force is made of 13 companies supporting various silver containing active substances in the review programme of active substances under the Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 - BPR.
EU Legislative Interests
The European Biocidal Silver Task Force follows mainly any legislative, regulatory and policy initiatives around biocides, antimicrobial solutions, hygiene and sustainability. In 2023, it participated in a Commission consultation to provide input on the addition of silver to the revised list of surface polluants under the Water Framework Directive.In 2024, it participated in Commission consultation to provide input on the foreseen amendments to food contact materials legislation.
