Mission & Goals
The European Battery Recycling Association is the only professional organisation defending the interests of companies involved with the collection, sortation, treatment, material recovery and repurposing or reusing of portable, industrial and EV batteries. Members can: * become involved in the development of professional services relating to the industry * contribute to the development of EBRA position statements and policies * keep up to date with the changes in regulations and legislation influencing the end-of-life management of batteries * contribute their experience, knowledge, and ideas at an EU and Government level, assisting with policy making and the development of guidance and have a platform to raise questions and issues Benefit from best practice in the industry Meet leading key players in the industry for networking and business opportunities
EU Legislative Interests
EBRA contributes to European and international policy and draft legislation and endorses the interests of members through research and publishes position statements. This includes the Battery Regulation, List of Wastes, Waste Shipment Regulation, ADR transport requirements, Critical Raw Materials Act and the Extended Producer Responsibility Scheme
Communication Activities
Attendance at many industry related conferences and events across Europe such as the ICBR and Battery Expo etc. Member meetings are held twice a year in person to discuss current events and impending regulations etc.

EBRA is a non-profit trade association representing its' members. EBRA is a founder member of the batteriestransport.org EBRA is a member of the joint industry group developing guidance for the collection, handling, storage and treatment of waste lithium batteries.
