Mission & Goals

Founded in 1996, the European Association of Paritarian Institutions – AEIP is a Brussels-based advocacy organization, representing Social Protection Institutions established and managed by employers and trade unions on a joint basis within the framework of collective agreements. The Association has 16 Associate and Affiliate members – all leading large and medium-sized Social Protection Institutions, from 12 European countries, as well as 16 Task Force Members from 8 European countries. All AEIP members are not-for-profit organizations. AEIP represents its members’ values and interests at the level of both European and international institutions.

EU Legislative Interests

- Initiatives on pensions, e.g. Supplementary pension package: IORP Directive, PEPP Regulation - Initiatives on healthcare, e.g. European Care Strategy, European Health Data Space - Horizontal files, e.g.: FiDA, DORA, Sustainable finance legislation - Others: Initiative to improve the working conditions of people working in the platform economy, Revision of the eIDAS Regulation – European Digital Identity (EUid), Regulation 2009/987 - Procedure for implementing Regulation (EC) No 883/2004 on the coordination of social security systems, Communication on digitalisation in social security coordination: facilitating free movement in the Single Market, Posting of Workers directive, the EU Pact for Skills, Renewed Sustainable Finance Strategy, European Semester and the developments of the European Monetary Union framework, Council Directive on Faster and Safer Relief of Excess Withholding Taxes, Insolvency law, Regulation on the making available on the Union market as well as export from the Union of certain commodities and products associated with deforestation and forest degradation, Solvency II.
