Mission & Goals
EURASHE is the European Association for applied higher education and research. It represents universities of applied sciences and similar higher education institutions, as well as comprehensive universities with applied sciences departments. EURASHE’s mission is to strengthen the impact of innovative, high quality applied higher education and related user-oriented research in Europe by representing applied universities and facilitating their multi-stakeholder cooperation and dialogue.

Communication Activities
EURASHE presented statement “Entering a decade of flexibility and diversity: a new momentum for professional higher education” at the EHEA 2020 ministers’ conference, held close consultation of higher education future developments, skills and digitalisation with top representatives of EC. EURASHE was strongly engaged in policy discussions within European structures, Bologna process, European Research Area and paid great attention to actual issues – European university initiative, skills agenda, flexible learning including micro-credentials, ERA roadmap. A number of activities were coordinated with other partners from higher education community, civic society, stakeholders, but also European and international organisations (OECD, Council of Europe). EURASHE in its internal discussions and consultation with various stakeholders addressed a variety of topics from inclusion of PHE students, innovative learning and teaching, flexibility of higher education and relevant instruments (micro-credentials, recognition of prior learning), skills and competence development in quality work-based learning (WBL Charter for higher education). The role and impact of UAS in regional activities, their involvement in smart specialisation strategies were addressed widely. As regards research EURASHE promoted stronger international links, supported PHE institutions in their efforts to get engaged in framework programmes, by policy statement, awareness raising but also matchmaking for concrete calls.,
