Mission & Goals
EAPFP was formed in 1988 to act as a European voice on behalf of national associations representing manufacturers, contractors and other institutions involved in passive fire protection. EAPFP aims to explain & facilitate use of European legislation and standards, inform, educate and develop the market and promote the use of good and properly installed products EAPFP campaigns to raise the standard of fire safety in buildings and offers a range of publications, position papers and guidance notes in several languages. EAPFP focuses on the importance of Passive Fire Protection in the building construction industry including: - The Construction Products Regulation aquis and revision - Climate change and energy. - Performance of buildings directive - Commission decisions - Delegated Acts with focus on fire resistance, reaction to fire - Fire safety engineering EAPFP wishes to share knowledge and assist EC stakeholders and relevant DGs.

Communication Activities
The EAPFP also has representation on the European Union Technical Committees involved in developing product standards across Europe (CEN and EOTA). Liaison is maintained with EGOLF the European Organisation for Fire Testing Laboratories. Fire Safe Europe European Fire Safety Week
