Mission & Goals
EANAM (European Association for Negotiation and Mediation) was founded with the mission to build and support an international, multidisciplinary network of experts—combining theory and practice—to improve our collective understanding of the complex dynamics and processes involved in negotiation and mediation. EANAM is also actively engaged in the assessment of European Commission projects and programmes. Our approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral principles, which focus on how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence interpersonal and institutional conflicts. This methodology not only supports more effective negotiation outcomes but also enhances emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving skills—critical tools for both policymakers and clients. By fostering inter-institutional collaboration and relying on scientifically validated approaches, EANAM ensures that its services meet the highest standards of professionalism, transparency, and human dignity.
