Mission & Goals

ALIPA represents the aliphatic isocyanate industry producing a range of intermediate chemicals which are used in a wide variety of industrial applications. Main objectives of ALIPA are : 1. To maintain and improve a high level of technical understanding by identifying and initiating appropriate toxicological, environmental and other work programs; 2. To monitor and support legislative developments in the areas of health, safety and environment relevant for the industry working with aliphatic isocyanates; 3. To develop and communicate common industry positions to relevant audiences such as regulators, opinion leaders and the general public; 4. To cooperate with other relevant industry organisations..

EU Legislative Interests

ALIPA is engaged in the legislative process around the occupational exposure limits set for diisocyanates, the diisocyanates restriction under the REACH Regulation and the Chemical Strategy for Sustainability.
