Mission & Goals
The European Access Academy (EAA) was founded in 2021 with the aim to support a successful implementation of the EU HTA Regulation. Biannual full-day (virtual or physical) meetings with ~250 participants are conducted to cover key challenges within the European access environment. The agenda aims to discuss the key EU HTA challenges and to develop suggested approaches to overcome them. EAA Proceedings and scientific articles are published after each convention and are all available @ www.euaac.org. The EAA Faculty is in charge of the overall EAA strategy, the scientific integrity, and supports the EAA secretariat e.g. with editorial work. It was established gradually and is in place since Q1 2023.

Communication Activities
The EAA has an extensive communications and dissemination concept that is developed with and endorsed by the EAA Faculty and includes social media coverage; geographically diverse convention meetings; print media and internet presence: Two physical/ hybrid EAA meetings per year are scheduled and carefully prepared with strategic & operational input by the EAA Faculty. Envisioned location for the EAA meetings is a different European University for each meeting. The Agenda is split into a public session with live stream on social media and a working session – by invitation – addressing ‘hot topics’ of the EU HTA regulation. Meeting proceedings are published after each convention (ISSN 2813-3390; see www.euaac.org). In addition, scientific publications are derived from each of the meetings.
