Mission & Goals
Europe, a Patient is a pan-European, non-partisan, cross-political advocacy and expert initiative. Europe, a Patient is the voice of concern for the European future against the influence of short-termist thinking which harms societies and the environment. We are a voice on ensuring just climate transition, strengthening common good and European solidarity in global efforts.
EU Legislative Interests
The aim of the Association is: Promoting the idea of a just transition, combining the goals of climate and environmental protection with social justice and protection of vulnerable groups. Promotion of the idea of Temporary Basic Income; Advocacy for just transition and cooperatives; To promote the idea of Employment Guarantee and employee participation; To promote the idea of equal access to public health care for European Union citizens; To promote systemic actions to improve the health of European citizens. To promote other ideas and solutions in support of European solidarity and social cohesion. Legal basis: Just Transition - Article 175 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. - Regulation (EU) 2021/1056 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 June 2021 establishing the Just Transition Fund. Public health - Article 168 (protection of public health), Article 114 (single market) and Article 153 (social policy) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU).
Communication Activities
The Association pursues its objective by: Advocacy activities, including consultations with representatives of the European Union institutions; Expert activities, including the creation of recommendations for legal changes; Media activities informing the public about the above consultations and recommendations. Register of ordinary associations: The Association is an ordinary association within the meaning of the Act - Law on Associations (Act of 7 April 1989. Law on Associations, Dziennik Ustaw, or Journal of Laws of 2019, item 713 consolidated text). An ordinary association entitled Europe, a Patient [PL: Stowarzyszenie Pacjent Europa] was entered in the register of ordinary associations kept by the President of the Capital City of Warsaw under No. 736, which is confirmed by a certificate issued by The Bureau of Administration and Civic Affairs of the Office of the Capital City of Warsaw.
