Mission & Goals
The EVBB is the largest umbrella organisation active in the field of Vocational Education and Training. Its network spans approximately 850+Members active across 84 countries, thus covering Europe in its wider geographical sense, Africa, Asia and Latin America. The objective of the EVBB is that of consistently advancing VET as a first choice for all across the world. In order to achieve this ambitious objective, the Association: - Fosters partnerships with VET centres, universities, research centres, educational partners in general to level standards toward higher level of training provisions, latest methodologies and innovative practices for the empowerment of the VET ecosystem; - Technically support the establishment of project consortia through its membership base and other key partners active in each sector in order to develop high-quality initiatives and create positive connections to tap into funding opportunities; - Network and advocate with public authorities, agencies
EU Legislative Interests
EVBB mission lies in breaking down traditional hierarchies between VET and higher education and promoting the qualitative improvement of vocational schools and training and in promoting VET as a first choice. EVBB has more than +850 members from 84 Countries all over the world coming from both the private and the public sector and covering all fields related to initial, advanced and further education and training. Beyond that, EVBB has set the following tasks for itself: • It takes a stand on the fundamental questions of vocational training and encourages the advancement of positions at EU level. It represents the common interests of its members and the European institutes in public and in front of national and supranational authorities, the European Parliament, the European Commission, European institutes and national institutes and authorities. • It promotes cooperation among its members and encourages building networks between them, organizing vocational education in the member states and at a European level. • It sets up quality criteria for the work in vocational education to which all members are bound. • It organizes national and international specialist conferences at which the future prospects for vocational education and training are worked out, positions and points of view and the examples for successful projects in national or European policies are presented as good practice.

Some key activities that have been with dealt with in EVBB projects are - Quality assurance in vocational education - Promoting practical orientation in vocational education and training - The integration of youth into society - Initiatives against long-term unemployment - Initiatives against youth unemployment - European networks, cooperation and projects - International Annual Conference The EVBB being a representative of practice-oriented vocational training considers the dissemination of successful practical example to be a significant element in communication among its members. EVBB is currently involved in 39 European Projects in 2026. The EVBB is an association (NGO) based in Brussels, with a hired team of 8 full time employees. We represent Members, however not on a contractual basis. In terms of activities covered by the Register (e.g. representation vis-a-vis EU institutions), only our hired team attends such encounters. No intermediary is hired nor contemplated.
