Mission & Goals
EUROMETAL is the European Federation representing steel, tubes, and metals distribution, stockholding, processing, and trading. With roots in the 1950 European Community for Coal and Steel, it unites national federations and cross-border companies in European OECD countries. Its objectives are: Representation & Advocacy – Promote the sector’s interests within a unified European framework. Institutional Engagement – Maintain dialogue with the European Commission, Eurofer, WTO, OECD, and other key stakeholders. Policy & Public Affairs – Define and advocate for common interests in political and public debates. Compliance & Ethics – Ensure adherence to EU regulations and EUROMETAL Compliance Guidelines. EUROMETAL strengthens the industry’s voice, fostering a competitive and sustainable market for steel and metals distribution in Europe.

Policy Briefings & Reports – Publishing position papers, industry reports, and updates on key EU legislative developments affecting steel and metals distribution. Workshops & Webinars – Hosting expert discussions on topics such as CBAM, the EU Green Deal, trade policies, and supply chain regulations. Engagement with EU Institutions – Regular meetings and consultations with the European Commission, Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), and relevant stakeholders. Press Releases & Newsletters – Disseminating updates on policy changes, industry trends, and advocacy efforts. Collaboration with Partner Organisations – Working with Eurofer, national federations, and other stakeholders on joint initiatives and advocacy efforts.
