Mission & Goals

Euro-Med Youth Federation, commonly known as EMYF, is an international youth network based in Berlin, Germany, seeking to create a "network of youth networks" for cooperating in the 42 Euro-Mediterranean countries. Euro-Med Youth Federation {EMYF} creates new opportunities and brings together young people, youth workers, educators and activists from the Euro-Mediterranean area in order to cooperate and overcome the socio-cultural challenges which lead to foster common understanding and coexistence of the Euro-Mediterranean cultures.

EU Legislative Interests

- Proposal for a regulation on a Single Market for Digital Services (Digital Services Act) Euro-Med Youth Federation’s (EMYF) alignment with EU goals in digital transition, education, sustainability, and social inclusion positions it as a contributor to addressing the challenges and opportunities outlined in the communication regarding the evolution of digital services and the need for updated rules. By contributing to digital literacy and skills, EMYF indirectly supports the objectives of updating rules and responsibilities for providers of digital services. EMYF's diverse projects, including those related to green skills development and entrepreneurship, align with this perspective. The COVID-19 crisis highlighted the importance of digital technologies and the risks associated with the current framework for digital services. EMYF's projects that address social challenges exacerbated by the crisis and support vulnerable populations demonstrate its responsiveness to these concerns. Through its projects and initiatives EMYF advocates for a regulatory framework that strikes a balance between fostering innovation and ensuring online safety and the protection of fundamental rights. EMYF conducted public awareness campaigns to educate the general public about the importance of the proposed initiative and how it can contribute to online safety and protection of fundamental rights and engaged in constructive dialogue with various stakeholders to address concerns and refine the proposal for better effectiveness. -European Parliament Resolution on the European Green Deal EMYF's involvement in projects related to environmental sustainability and green skills development aligns with the European Green Deal objectives. Through its local and international activities EMYF educates and empowers youth and adults to promote the goals of the European Green Deal. EMYF collaborated with other NGOs, environmental organizations, and stakeholders to amplify the collective impact of our activities and to provide training sessions, workshops, and resources to help stakeholders, including policymakers, better understand the implications and opportunities of the European Green Deal. -Council Decision on the system of own resources of the European Union EMYF hosted workshops to educate staff, volunteers, and community members, on the implications of the Council Decision and has the necessary expertise to develop educational materials that explain the potential impact of the decision on the communities.
