Mission & Goals

Advocate for democratic changes in Belarus, for the release of political prisoners, for the preservation of Belarus's statehood, for improved mobility and for the Euro-Atlantic integration of Belarus in a long-term perspective. Euro-Atlantic Affairs Agency (EAAA) is registered in Poland on August 7, 2024, by an exiled activist (Valery Kavaleuski, citizen of Belarus, legal status of a political asylee in Poland). Between December 2020 and June 2024, Kavaleuski led on foreign affairs agenda in the team of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. EAAA cooperates with similar Belarusian civil society organisations in exile. Its organisational structure includes a Board with three persons overseeing decision making on strategic matters and activities towards their achievement.

Communication Activities

During his time in the team of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Valery Kavaleuski was in charge of relations with the EU institutions: EEAS, EU Council, EC President Cabinet, DG NEAR, DG HOME. He was responsible for the development and launch of the Consultative Group (CG-1) between EEAS and Belarusian democratic forces. He prepared and participated in CG-1 (June 2023), CG-2 (December 2023), CG-3 (June 2024). He also held contacts with the European Parliament and was in charge in drafting and preparing for signature the Letter of Intent on Cooperation between EP and democratic forces signed by President Metsola in May 2024. IN December 2024, Kavaleuski, representing EAAA, participated in the Belarus Days in Brussels program. Kavaleuski has held numerous meetings with key advisors in the mentioned institutions to inform about the situation of human rights in Belarus and regional security implications and to suggest recommendations to address these challenges.
